Rules

Welcome to the i29 Fantasy Football League! Justin and I have discussed starting this for a few years and wanted to have something different than our other leagues.

The Basics - TLDR:

12 team league with an auction draft, FAAB waivers, and keepers. Entry Fee is $100 for 2018. Side bets encouraged. The draft is Sunday at 6pm. You can do it all online. Some of us are meeting up in KC if your interested in going us.

Season Details:

  1. Head-to-Head matchups with a playoff
  2. Roster: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T
  3. Roster: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T/QB (Superflex) - 2020 change
  4. 6 Bench spots
  5. Covid change: 2 IR Spots
  6. 1 IR Spot (back to normal post Covid 2022)
  7. $100 FAAB Waiver budget - FAAB is an auction for waivers instead of rolling pick list. You bid the amount of FAAB on a player and the highest bidder wins.
  8. No Defense or Kickers - Don’t ask for them, this is the only unchangeable rule cuz I says.

Draft basics:

  1. Auction draft with $200 budget base.
  2. Bonus is added to your budget based on last year finish. 12th place get $12. 5th gets $5, 1st get $1.2020 change
  3. Snake style nomination with random order.
  4. Must draft a full team - This is a Yahoo requirement during the draft. It will tell you the max you can spend at anytime based on this requirement.
  5. Use all your money in the draft or you lose it. Theres no carryover to the season or next year.
  6. Subtract your keeper values from $200+$finish-place= is your starting $ amount for the draft.

Keeper Details:

  1. Keep as many players as budget allows. $200 every year.
  2. Cost of a player increases $3 per year.
  3. Can own a player for 4 total years.
  4. Cannot keep more than one QB a year.2020 - Changed when we went to Superflex.

Keeper details:

  1. Your roster value for next year cannot exceed $200+$finishing-place going into the draft.
  2. If you trade for a player their ownership years restarts. So you can own them for this season plus 3 more years.
  3. If you drop/trade a player then pick them back up off of waivers/trade that does not reset the ownership year for you.
  4. Any player you pick up off waivers and keep for next year starts at $4. $1 value for this year plus $3 inflation.

Examples with fun math:

  1. Draft Kareem Hunt for $30.
    • Year 2 = $33
    • Year 3 = $36
    • Year 4 = $39
    • Year 5 - Back to the auction pool.
  2. Pickup Alvin Kamara off waiver/free-agent pool.
    • Year 1 = $1 (nothing, but we give them a value of $1 since thats the cheapest auction value.)
    • Year 2 = $4
    • Year 3 = $7
    • Year 4 = $10
    • Year 5 - Back to the auction pool.
  3. Draft Aaron Rodgers for $25
    • Year 2 = $28
    • Year 3/1 - $31 - Traded, counts as year 1 for new team.
    • Year 2 with new team = $34
    • Year 3 = $37
    • Year 4 = $40
    • Year 5 - Back to the auction pool.

Payouts

$1100 left over

  1. 1st = $700
  2. 2nd = $300
  3. 3rd = $100
